I know this thread has been done but i want to do it again.

what modern fighters do you think have shades of past greats?

for example after wathcing Bradley vs peterson i think Bradley has shades of Fighting Harada with his good mobility of foot and head with a brilliant jab, high workrate and fats ahnds he is quite similar to harada

I think there are notable similarities between Vicente Saldivar and Marco Antonio Barrera. Both were counterpunchers at heart, and rather than countering with single shots, they came back with 3 and 4s. They were both known for their body attack, and aside from skill set, you look at both men in the ring and they have similar stances, and a calm stoic demeanor.

The logical progression tree of legendary stylists.

But who will carry things on from Whitaker and....Sibson.

This might sound really ****ing stupid and obscure but I was watching a clip of Randall Bailey a couple of weeks ago and it struck me that he reminds me of Ingomar Johansson in the way he fights. All the guy seems to do is push out a pawing left jab and try to sneak in his sledgehammer right hand behind it to knock his opponent out. From the clips I've seen of Ingo that's all he ever seemed to do as well.

There was a Welterweight contender in the 90s name Larry Barnes and he reminded my of a Mini Tyson but without Power he was only 5-4 and he came intosome of his fights with no socks like Tyson use to he got a couple of title shots but was stopped by Tito Trinidad in 4 at Welterweight. He also was stopped by Yori Boy for the JM title in 3 rounds.
There was also a LItlle Junior Welter White version of Mike Tyson by the name of Ricky Meyers who was a prospect on the verge of becoming a contender until he was stopped by Zack padilla, Tyson use to go to some of his fights and you could see that he got a kick out of Meyers mimicking his style he seemed to have a smirk on his face while watching meyers. Unfortunatley none of these guys had mikes power.
