hey,got another question.I have been in the amatuers for a while, and just started taking shadow boxing more serious.I usually just did 2 rounds every time i went to practice. Besides perfecting technique how else could shadow boxing help you.Is that basically it.
it helps with everything. when you shadow box you should act like your in the ring and there is a person in front of you. practice moving your head, practice technique, form, breathing. shadow boxing is actually pretty important
i tell my boys when the shadow box to simulate a fight. getting hit rolling punches fighting off the ropes and out of the corners throw alot of combos. and everything else that could happen in a fight
I think it's important with shadowboxing not just to stand and throw combinations, but to practise footwork, make sure you move about, especially after each combo.
shadowboxing is important look in the mirror to see which parts are open when you punch I do 4 rounds of 3 minute with 2kg dumbbells
