Saw Gomez doing this before his Cotto fight in training, well, he was sparring actually, but does anyone know the effects of it? Cardio vascular?
I'd imagine it would have the same effects as shadowboxing with hand weights. From personal experience doing this makes your hands alot faster. I've shadowboxed with ankle weights before but didn't maintain it for long enough to see any results but I'm sure it would make your feet faster and probably make your legs last longer in a fight.
