This has been reported more than a month ago on this side of the pond.
Good riddance to Schaefer. He has just been running the shirtails of Mayweather and Haymon fighters while ignoring the GBP fight roster.
Good on Oscar giving him the boot.:thumbsup

    Three scenario's,as I see it-
1-Ellerby is the CEO of Mayweather but I could see Schaefer as President
2-Dude hooks up with Haymon and they form their own Promotional Co.
3-Schaefer goes independent and forms his own Co.
I am certain Oscar has some type of "non-compete" clause in Schaefers contract,so the lawyers will be making money with this issue.

Which ever scenario plays out, it would not be in his best interest to compete with GBP as he is still a shareholder. I have no doubt he will continue to work with GBP in some capacity.

De la Hoya’s lawyer Bert Fields released a statement to the Los Angeles Times indicating that Schaefer is contractually bound to Golden Boy until 2018 and that contract will be enforced.

I doubt this is good news when it comes to Mayweather fights, where they had Golden Boy involved in the undercard.

Don't want to see a Klitschko kind of scenario, where you have a non-competitive main event, AND no undercard to speak of.
