Shah Khan scouts Max Maxwell as khans chief sparring partner,

  1. Nor me, he was at it all night. The lamest part of Amir's whining was ''he never warned me'' or ''he should say that he's going to take a point''.

    Hmm.... ok.

Like Kellerman said, he was warned several times to stop pushing, and continued - it's akin to football and the wild tackles. Whilst the red cards are harsh sometimes, don't invite the ref to send you off.

It just showed his ongoing lack of ring IQ, it's something that can be tightened up on if they really want to do so.

    Anyhoo.....

    Keys to Victory

    Khan

    1. Establish the jab. The commentators made a good point that Lamont likes to set himself before he punches, if not he can be picked off. Occupy centre ring and throw 20-30 per round. Of course Khan will have to adapt from his flurrying to do this.

    2. Better movement. For short spells in the first half of the fight, Khan's movements were alright, but 90% of the time they were excessive and encouraged Lamont onto him, which was the last thing he needed to do.

    3. Work the body. Peterson is alright at blocking headshots, and can take Khan's power anyway, but it's clear that he doesn't like being whacked to the body, so use that tactic much more.

    Peterson

    1. Work the body. Pretty much repeat the tactics of the last fight in that respect, throw lots of left and right hooks in an attempt to make Amir a more stationary target, and mix the uppercut in too.

    2. Effective pressure. Again, similar to the last fight, but try to be lighter on his feet and use a bit of lateral movement. At times he resembled a 40t truck just chugging along the road.

    3. ''Sieze the Moment'' - he's under absolutely no pressure in this fight at all, given that everyone believes that Khan was simply ripped off by some home cooking - it's Amir that has to go out and put a performance on, which leaves an opportunity to Lamont to rubber stamp his superiority. Match the desire of the first fight, and he should get his reward.
