"El Jacaré" (The Alligator) got resoundingly booed during his introduction. To be fair, the Argentine probably didn't endear himself to anybody with his obnoxiously self-indulgent ring walk.

 

Absolutely wild that Shakiel "Dr. Steel" Thompson normally makes middleweight. He is 6'3" with very broad shoulders, and looks very well suited here to LHW.

Benítez overselling a low blow, putting soccer floppers to shame.

 

Ah, didn't realize that. He's got a younger looking face.

Still, though - you can't exactly leap from 6-rounders to a Yarde or Buatsi.

One more rust-shaker tuneup in April, capture that Euro title in the summer, defend it a time or two, and then it's time for that phone call to Yarde's or Buatsi's people.

 

Commentators absolutely not having this bottle job from Benítez after that arrogant entrance.

So...not banned from the sport, just - what, is he going to be carried in on a litter? Dollied out from the locker room & down the ramp in a giant crate?

 

Bahadur Karami gave it a more honorable go earlier on a few hours' notice than Benítez did on a few days'.

 

Of the co-featured "Shak Attack" pair, I definitely rate Pitters over Thompson.

 

How on earth did Izzy Asif manage to assemble such a massive army of feather-fists on this undercard?
