That's exactly what it is because if that's the case he would list inoue who's a big fighter at his weight but he likes him so he won't mention him. That's why I can't take lists like this seriously because people pick and choose who they call a weight bully based on whether they like the fighter or not.
Exactly. I always say if you can make weight then you're not a weight bully. It's why I can't stand when people criticize guys like Donaire or Crawford for being weight bullies but they have never missed weight. People only throw that weight bully insult on fighters that they don't like, period.
All but one of the fighters on his list is black. It's not a coincidence that's who comes to mind. Based on the weight bully logic, Manny Pacquiao would be the ultimate. He fought at 130 in 2008 and in 2009 won a title at 147, spending the next 12 years there. Obviously he was an outrageous weight bully.
If you want people to weight closer to their natural weight, they need to do same day weigh ins, preferably in the afternoon of the fight with a doctor to give the thumbs up that the fighter isn't too depleted
While we're at it let's also add ODLH, Arturo Gatti, Carlos Zarate, Thomas Hearns, Alexis Arguello, Gerald McClellan, Ricardo Lopez, Vernon Forrest, Hilario Zapata, Mark Breland, Paul Williams, Diego Corrales, Raul Perez, Sebastian Fundora, etc. to the list of weight bullies as well because they appear larger than their opponents. The weight bully insult is getting tiresome.
I was hoping he'd clear 130, but yeah this is pretty underhanded of him, he was likely told by his promoter he would be moving up next fight, so he got a start bulking this fight.
Legion of Dumb, There's no need to bring race into it. And Pac was a weight bully when he was coming up, but then he spent like a decade at 147 with every single opponent minus Marquez and Matthysse citing his small size as the reason they're going to beat him. Mikey Garcia and Keith Thurman called him a lightweight. Rios, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Vargas, Floyd, and Broner all said they were too big for him. Idiot.
Out of all the fighters who have won titles and moved up in weight, you just so happen to end up with a list of 80% black dudes. Okay… How do you define a weight bully? Is it based purely on how they look? I’m trying to find some logic in your posts that may indicate a shred of intelligence instead of what I suspect may be the case….
Inoue is probably about as bad as Crawford was at 140 about it. I should say "bad" because it's part of the sport.
