Shakur Stevenson beats Gervonta Davis

Shakur will win easy; tank is short and will not get inside. Shakur has great boxing skills, like Sugar Ray.

 

Loma is done, Shakur would beat him very easy.

 

Shakur has the perfect style to beat Tank but the problem is hes too scared to let his hands go against anyone with power.

 

Tank would walk him down and stop him late in the fight.

I don’t know who I would root for in that fight. Both are unlikeable. I guess I would root for Davis just because that would be my prediction. I also think he is one of the best in the sport, I can’t say the same thing about Stevenson.

 

I don’t agree. The right style is a guy who Davis struggled against, Isaac Cruz. I don’t think Stevenson would give him many problems, Stevenson doesn’t have the offense to win IMO.

 

Would I favor the younger, naturally bigger fighter?

Yes.

But Loma is a very live dog against Stevenson, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he beat him.

Define “beats”……

There’s a possibility he could win a decision in a boxing match - but there isn’t a scenario I envision that Shakur “beats” Tank…..

 

If by smoke you mean his power and by mirrors to hold a mirror under his KO victims nose to check for the fog to see if he still breathing I agree lol. { slightly exaggerated for comedic value, but he can crack )

I don’t like him but he has decent skills timing and very good power. Add in patience and not panicking if the ko takes time he is a handful.

That being said I had Pitbull edging him out… was a good fight.

As for Shakur I can’t get that video that was posted online out of my head. He was bopping along with his buddy and a fight broke out. He was squared up with a woman punching her in the face and she ate all his shots like a Pez dispenser and was trading shots with him.

Tank would smash him……

Either way Shakur throws a sucker punch from behind one guy and kicks him when he is down and out.

I think Shakur is better defensively, all round technically and is quicker, but obviously Tank has that power. Its a good fight.

 

Shakur beats Tank, and it would be an extremely ugly fight and he would get booed after the decision but yeah, he would definitely win.

The issue for Tank here is that (IMO) Tank ain't active enough and Shakur has better eyes, feet and is better at the measure/pop/move game. Almost everyone Tank is in against he has better eyes and feet than. That isn't the case here. To beat Shakur, even have a chance, your engine can't stop running for the entire 12............and you have to have the athletic ability to keep pace with Shakur speedwise. Tank doesn't fight that way. There's only a couple guys at those weight classes that can.

I wouldn't put money on Shakur losing unless he goes up to say.............147. He will then have officially bit off more than his frame would allow.

 

well shakur is a pure boxer and pure boxers give you less opportunities to counter and land that big shot compared to other styles. But you’re right in that Shakur is too focused on defense and not much offense. If he fought like Bivol he could beat tank. Unless he fixes his lack of offense, tank vs shakur will be a boring low output fight where it’s gonna be a draw or 7-5 either way
