Tyson Fury beats Ali 99 times out of 100. If you do not agree with that, then YDKSAB.

Exactly. It takes more than skill to be an ATG. A fighter needs to be in the right era or have great accomplishments. SRL for example was in the right era. Fury my be able to beat Ali, but he didn't, so he gets no ATG credits for it. If Fury went on a tear after Vlad, winning the rematch, beating AJ and Wilder consecutively, clean out the division, 10-15 title defenses and beat Usyk, I would consider him a great. That's just a few aspects of what an ATG's resume looks like. Fury did none of that.

After previously being an indifferent admirer of his pure ability, I've started to warm a lot to Stevenson lately.

Part of it is he keeps winning me dough, but I really enjoyed his toothier display last time out against Herring, and the value of his ostensibly underwhelming (even while generally dominant) Nakathila win has appreciated with the latter's total destruction of Miguel Berchelt.

He's a goofball, but he's kinda arch in his braggadociousness, loaded more with the knowing assurance of the dedicated student than the unironic arrogance of the deluded know-it-all.

These pro-Fury outbursts on Real Time can only boost his growing spot in my affections. A kudos to him for eschewing racial politics in his appraisal of a tremendous fighter.
