21 years old, 9th professional fight tonight, in against Viorel Simion, who had never been knocked down before, and had 2 losses against Lee Selby and Scott Quigg.

Stevenson got 3 knockdowns in a 1st round K.O. He showed amazing speed and accuracy. I suspect a superstar in the making.

He also mentioned Jay Prince in the post fight interview, I hope that is not his manager tbh.

That was damn good, and quite unexpected, maybe Viorel was a bit rusty after 17 months off, and hadn't faced a southpaw with a good right hook in a while and may have been caught cold, but still, he caught him, and put him down, so he deserves full credit for it.

I really like Shakur Stevenson and really hope he becomes a household name at least in the USA. He's only 21 years old, and at 5ft 7in (1.73m) he can realistically go up as high as Welterweight (147) from his current Featherweight (126). That is 5 weight divisions he could potentially become champion in, with the right management, that keep him busy with fights, it's very possible. Let's hope for the best!

I can see him easily fighting at 147lbs by the age of 30. Hes just a kid right now and will get bigger and stronger as he gets older. He could be really, really good.

It was nice to see he has a great relationship with Bud, in his post fight interview he said Bud would win and then he was in the ring to congratulate him after the 12th round K.O.

Bud can only be a good influence of Stevenson and help to keep his head down and focus on the boxing, and also learn from one of the best in the game! Mutually beneficial from them both! I wonder if they share the same team or gym?

Early I never thought he had the power, but that was impressive.
He's got everything to be a star that Davis hasn't.

As much as the knock out had me out of my seat and seriously impressed id of liked to of seen a few more rounds out of him. I thought it was a great choice of opponent for him and he just blasted him out before he could answer many questions about his technique. But then i suppose one question about him was regarding his power.
