Seems on brand. Plenty of fighters who wanted out of Top Rank.

With that entitled, narcissistic attitude he won’t be getting any big fights going forward. He obviously has a much higher opinion of himself than what the market will bear.

Maybe Shakur and/or his people are really hard to deal with?
    Seems like he might be.

That's a good point. TR has lost some big name young fighters in recent years. Maybe Ol' Bob and kids can't relate to each other.

Shakur boring style and annoying dimples is not worth ppv.

I agree with that, but I don't think any fighter (alone) is worth PPV. Only certain "fights" should be PPV worthy.

    Shakur:
"get me the fights I want, I'll take less money"
"I wanna fight the top guys in my division, that's why I moved up"
"I'm the best and I'll prove it against anybody"

    potential opponents:
"There is no way I'm fighting Shakur"
    "Shakur should only get 3%"
"We don't want that fight, against Shakur. It would be boring"
"declines Shakur to fight someone 1-2 in their last 3 fights."

Shakur doesn't seem like the one who's being hard to deal with.

Rumor has it, that during Shakur's last fight, a coma patient awoke in the middle of the fight. After 2 rounds, my man fell back into a deep coma again.

I think it goes without saying if he fought a big name there'd be add ons to that $15mil as well. Big gamble that I expect to go wrong.

This way he can safely take the Crawford route and carefully select his opponents.

Hopefully it works out the same for him as Broner when he rejected a massive offer from Roc Nation.

He’s going to regret this decision in 10 years when he’s broke.

I think it´s a bit early to write him off yet. He still has time to fix his image and win back the fans. But it will be interesting to see who gives him the opportunity to do so.

A leopard can’t change its spots. He’s always going to be a low output, low KO% fighter with a risk averse mindset and unlikeable personality. What promoter will want to work with him? Who would pay to see him fight? I don’t think the Turk would have a boring featherfisted spoiler on one of his Saudi shows. I think this kid is in for a rude awakening when he finds out what his real worth is on the open market.
