Well I don’t think anyone is that disappointed to be honest. Would like to see Cordina fight a replacement in the mean time. Also for a guy that’s known to not throw that many punches I’m actually surprised that Shakur ended up breaking his hand.
I am actually, I think Cordina had the reach, power and skillset to give Shakur issues. He's been tight as hell at 130 for a very long time, so I don't doubt a move up would be beneficial.
Cordina does seem to struggle more with guys that pressed the fight on him and Shakur wasn’t that kind of fighter to do that. Still, I just don’t know if he’d be able to outbox Shakur.
So wait… if Shakur is no longer fighting Cordina where does that leave the PPV? They’re definitely not going to have Joe Cordina against a replacement as a PPV event. I wonder if they’re just going to have Beterbiev vs Bivol brought in as a PPV main event?
The word is Shakur banged his elbow on a door and now he has an involuntary spasm in his arm. This content is protected
So is undercard now free? Stevenson wasn't worth the $14 and with him out there is less reason for buying it.
Ducking a 130 pounder coming off a demoralizing confidence shattering stoppage loss is a bad look but ducking them for Saudi money is unforgivable Also, I don't believe it's physically possible for Shakur to suffer a hand injury given his embarrassing female flyweight-esque KO percentage.
Shakur puts on sunblock that's spf 80 before drinking a caprisun. How could he be so careless with the six punches he allows himself a round in sparring?
