Exactly the way I feel. If Loma makes Haney pull a no mas type fight, then there is no reason for me to doubt Loma beats Shakur or gives him pure hell.
If it's Loma from the 11th round vs Haney we see against Stevenson he has a chance. If not, Stevenson boxes his way to another sleeper decision. Stevenson is indeed an elite defensive fighter. However his offense (I'm a fan) is just too cautious and he can crack dudes. I've seen it. Stevenson just opts out to make contact and move out of range. Loma is a great fighter but Stevenson in a big ring would be an obstacle. I got Stevenson by UD.
I really rated Stevenson at SFW but he hasn't really shone since unifying. Loma, on my card, beat Haney 7-5 and right now should be considered the 4 belt undisputed champion of the division. I don't think I'd favour any LW to beat him.
I thought Stevenson was the next great thing, but after his last outing I'm not sure his youth/size overcomes Loma's ability unless it's by bad judging.
Loma has always shown to be better against pure boxer types. Shakur's style would play into Loma's hands IMO.
Some of you have been watching boxing very years but still don’t understand styles make fights. De Los Santos is a murderous puncher, Loma is not.
