Just came across a piece of paper with my boxing predictions for 2020. Suffice to say, it looks increasingly likely that all five will be wrong. These are mine: 1. Wilder KO's Fury inside 4 rounds > Rationale for this was based on the change of camps. Also felt that Wilder would have adopted a more calm and calculated approach. But meh, irrelevant now. 2. Luke Campbell will become a world champion > With the setback and Campbell's inactivity, it looks unlikely that this will happen in 2020. Have to wonder if it will ever happen. 3. Liam Williams will not fight for a world title. > Felt like he'd be avoided due to high risk/low reward. Looks like the Andrade fight is next. 4. Josh Kelly gets stopped by Avanesyan in the latter stages of the fight > Will this fight even happen now? 5. Okolie KOs Riakporhe later on in the year > I felt that Okolie would lose in his world title fight and drop back down to domestic level. Haven't been impressed by Riakporhe, think he's garbage and has had a lot of luck in terms of refereeing and decisions. Anyone else had a number of daft predictions like me? Could do with a little laugh to help deal with the boredom.
Something I've done over the last few years. Always a laugh to look back on and realise how wrong I often am!!!
