To me mosley had a similar style to Pryor but with faster hands but lesser workrate. i fancy mosley to pull it off by close decision. i think it would be like the first de la hoya fight

As much as I like Mosely, I have to think that Alexis Arguello, one of my favorites, by the way, would do far more damage to Shane than did Vernon Forrest in that first fight he had with Mosley. Arguello by a decision, with some head-busting knockdowns along the way, or even a late round tko, a very bloody one at that.

I'm not sure this match up can really be made as Shane would have been a welter back in Arguello's day.

Crazy that I just responded in a thread earlier that I think Shane Mosley is this era's version of an Aaron Pryor type of fighter, and then this thread show's up. That said....
Mosley's warrior side would be his downfall, he takes to much damage.
But Shane being the natural big man over Alexis I'd have to give shane
the benefit of the doubt, no knockout here.

arguello doesn't hve the height advantages of forrest.

you could argue that Pryyor got arguello at the right time and weight.

He means Mosley weighed 155-160 on the day of his lightweight fights and wouldnt have made the lightweight weigh in limit in the days of weigh ins that were the day of the fight

Arguello is one of my favorites, but I'm picking Mosely by decision.

About 6 foot, so he's not much taller than Arguello.

Mosely would win by a sqeaker, real tight fight with Alexis always a shade behind.

Mosley would handle Arguello all over the place. Mosley decision, maybe late KO. Was everything Hawk was. Stronger, bigger, faster, and a better BODY puncher.
