Also lacks Pryor's feet and engine at 135.

Arguello would take Mosley no problem. Totally different levels.

Given 24 hour weigh in, Mosley might just be too big for Arguello.

Arguello still hit well enough against Costello. If he was in his physical prime I don't see much of an issue.

Anyway, why force the last few decades of ruling that have watered boxing down (sorta' pun...sorta' intended ;)) let's see Shane make lightweight on the day.

    Arguello would destroy him.

Anyway, you know what I do in these situations; let Mosley weigh in a day or so before and let Arguello weigh in on the day, as he did in his day.

Mosley would be a beast. In all honesty it could go either way but I'm taking Arguello to just be a class above as a fighter.

I'm one of the few who doesn't find Mosley at 135 special at all, and think he hit his prime at welter.

I'm just saying that If we fight by Mosley's rules, I probably favour him.

If we fight by Arguello's rules I definitely favour him.

    Arguello's optimal weight was 130.

His power at 135 seems to have lost a shade or two.

And Mosley was as granite chinned as you can find. His loss and knockdown to Forrest was against a big welterweight who managed to sneak a great punch after Mosley was so badly stunned by a headbutt.

Arguello's power won't be a factor here. He'll be there all the way, but Mosley's faster hands will tell the difference.

    Mosley by decision.

Arguello's power is always a factor. He hurt and knocked out at least decent fighters above 135.

I agree that Shane is granite chinned, bar Forrest, although that threw him off his stride for years.

    Arguello can get Shane's respect.

Mosley at Lw reminds me of Moorer at LHW.

    looked beastly but totally unproven.

This fight would depend on the rules. At AA's 135 (with same-day weigh ins), AA wins easy because Shane would have had to cut off an arm. Fought under Shane's rules (weigh-in almost 1 1/2 days before the fight), Shane rules and outweighs AA by 10-15 pounds.

I'd say so, not much happening but Khaokor took too long to get going.

He never fought anyone as good, beat someone as good, looked as good IMO than against Oscar the first time.

    Unfortunately he ran into Forrest.

Who was the best lightweight he beat? Holliday was a poor performance from Shane were he looked spent from the opening bell. Some destructive showings over merely good fighters.

Shane's other most impressive win is at welter post-154 IMO; Margarito.

Whatever, I just think Shane was the better off without cutting as much, and wasn't all that at 154 (bar Vargas, second fight in particular)

Not a great fighter IMO. Still, I love Shane. Even with BALCO.

Mosley started to neglect body punching as he moved up in weight.

Lost his physical advantages over smaller opponents.

By the way Mosley blamed his lackluster perfomance against Holiday on protein indigestion or something like that.;)
