how does a man who follows all kinds of boxers from every level of the sport not recognize the brilliance in rigos style?. sure he could go for the kill a tad more when he has his man in pure survival mode (agbeko for example) but he is incredible to watch

In an event like this we are talking casual fans and not hardcore. Why would you put fùcking Rigo in it and bore all casuals to death? You wanna kill boxing? If Floyd decides to run all night and pot-shot and wins easy and if Rigo does the same all casual fans would swear they'll forget boxing forever. :patsch

Too many idiots out there don't understand actual skill when they see it. Brainless brawls, pretty much like brainless action movies, always attract the simple minded.

That's because it is about hatred rather than boxing.

If you have people supporting and applauding their guys for avoiding Rigondeaux, you can bet they are more than happy with Rigo not being on the big stage.

It's not really surprising, it was said the undercard would be a TMT fighter + a TR fighter. Rigo is neither. And while I love watching Rigondeaux (he's one of my favourite fighters) that's really a minority opinion, most people find him boring and let's just say it's not the best idea to put him on the card when there will be so many casuals/potential fans watching.
