Nahhh, a good matchup for Angulo and one that'll he'll learn from and become a better fighter after. Taking away his '0' isn't going to make much a difference as he moves up the ranks later on in his career. Urango's camp on the other hand deserves a boot up their ass for taking him out of his natural weight division where he's at his best to face a bigger, and quicker fighter in Berto. Bunch of ****ing imbeciles
Dude before Cintron faded he was schooling Angulo and actually looked like a quick technical boxer in there. Angulo simply doesn't have IT, Hell if Cintron had stood his ground and focused on landing the big right, he would have eventually got the KO IMO.
Angulo was sick and should have pulled out of the fight. One loss should mean nothing. Hell, Cintron lost two times to Margarito. Hearns lost. Lewis and Louis lost, Foreman lost, Leonard, Duran, you name it. A good fighter learns from his losses. I have Angulo winning the fight 7-5 even though he was sick.
Dude, they just put him in against cintron to maybe get some name appeal against what has become a gatekeeper......he lost, Angulo is a journeyman.
My ass. Mayorga won the rounds where Mosley didn;t even try, and that's it. If you score naked aggression over actually landing solid punches, then you suck at scoring. Mosley was easily winning that fight despite not doing **** half the time, and if you think Mosley was winning before the KO, then you're just bout damn ******ed. Almost as stupid as scoring Hoya over Mayweather.
These days the almighty Zero gets way to much resepct, and we make way to much fuss over a loss. Go look at Alexis Arguello's first 15 fights. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=2179&cat=boxer&pageID=2
Nothing ot shame about considering Angulo was ill few days before the fight. Ony props for taking a risky fight early in his career.
Angulo will be back and better than ever because it is often the Mexican way to take big risks early and learn as they go. Al Haymon's way with Floyd, Berto, and recently with Forrest has been to overprotect and rip off the fans. He did put a very green Mexican named Andrade in against Kessler though:huh At the end of the day, it seems that most who work with Haymon finishes with either an underachieving legacy or bankruptcy.
It's easy to say now, but of all the big prospects...Angulo was the one I was never sold on. He seems a really dedicated guy so I expect him to come back strong, and I think he'll eventually win a world title of sorts. But I don't think he's quite as good as many made him out to be. Best of luck to him though!!!
