Excuse me? You take that from my comments do you? LMAO! Don't judge me, you don't know me. You'd be very surprised. Trust Me. :yep
no i wouldn't. if you had any character the result of this fight wouldn't have mattered to you. you felt let down because you staying up and paying 15 quid mattered to you. so you're pissed that someone who has spent half their life having the discipline to be somebody in the world didn't perform for you after you spent a few pounds and stayed up to watch the fight. so there's no surpirse in you at all because you've already mapped yourself out beautifully.
You know what? I agree. Hatton didn't even box to the same level as he did in the Mallignagi fight! The thing is, is that when Hatton was boxing Manny Hatton had him where he wanted and Manny wasn't effective... but he just rushed in and got given a boxing lesson!
25,000 people flew to vegas, i have to say at least on the average a person spent 5,000 a piece, if not more, adding that up it comes to 125,000,000 dollars,,,,an hatton dosn't have the decency to put up a sold fight, instead he comes in throwning wide ass punches from the opening bell, an the few times he did use his jab, he looked good,,,diaz fought a better fight against pacman, an hatton fought a better fight against mayweather,,,,,,,, I am not taking away from pacman, he fought a killer fight, an KO'd a guy with some nice punches,,,finally KD was one of the best i have seen, but the guy i saw him fight forgot he had **** load of fans that expected more,,,,,,,an few non-fans who paid for PPV an wanted more.......
You forgot to add, he recommended everyone to empty their wallets and their banks and bet it on him. In all due respect, he tried what he could but ultimately, there was nothing he could have done to to win the fight. He did what everyone expected or wanted him to do, and that is to try to overpower pacman right from the get go.
sorry ben but you're reaching. hatton was beaten by a better fighter the same as when he fought floyd, and the same would happen tomorrow if they fought too.
whats wrong with some of you - seriously? if you EVER get to the stage in your life where you have to believe in somebody more than yourself (because that's what it boils down to) then you need to test yourself a whole lot more every day. ricky hatton let himself down - and he feels that foremost, believe me. he'll tell you he's 'sorry for the fans' and he'll be sincere about that but if you told him that he let you down he'd tell you the truth.... "go out and there and ****ing do better". you ever see 40 year old men walking in your hometown wearing football jerseys with the name of someone half their age on the back of it? don't ever end up like them because they are trying to live their lives through somebody else because their lives never panned out that way. we're all free take all the chances we want but - damn! - don't be one of these people who just gives up and then tries to say somebody else let you down just because thats an easy fold to fall into.
Ohh yeah I was just up all night and I woke up a in bad mood, I know its not hattons fault. Still stressed and shocked how it ended. And I know what you mean when you said hatton is a great fighter, its like when Ali said he was the greatest, there is a lot more people out there with bettter records so he isn't the greatest, and thats like Hatton, he didn't beat the elite, but he still had the will to try and put everything on the line to do so, thats what makes him so great.
Get over it! from my point of view, there was nothing Ricky or Mayweather Sr. could have done to change the outcome. There should be no excuse whatsoever. From the opening bell, when Hatton recived that straight left, he was surprised, and more so when the hooks came in bunches. It was the surprise advantage that really made him forget what he trained for. If that was you in the ring, heck... no need to comment on that.
