This Cung Le fight is absolutely awesome. The man throws sidekicks...yes, sidekicks...in MMA fights. Sidekicks. Axe kicks. Spinning back fists. High, middle, low. The man throws everything. It's amazingly fun to watch.

This fight is better than the whole last UFC card and I don't care what anyone says.

 

I actually have been enjoying it. The Rua fight was decent, and this last fight with Cung Le was fantastic. It was the most unique MMA fight I've ever seen.

 

Oh, that Dynamite thing with the DJ outside was probably the worst thing I've ever seen. Tonight is an upgrade over that, no doubt. As for that last UFC card...argh. I'm still mad about it.

Luckily, as you've just pointed out, the next couple months should be absolutely awesome. Also, Shogun Rua is making his debut in the UFC in September.

 

Oh wow, i didn't know Silva Liddell was already a done deal. Sweet.

 

Cung Le is crazy. He could probably get taken down in submitted in a minute, but if you stand with him...the fans get to see some of the most unique MMA standup ever. I mean, I am still blown away he throws side kicks on a regular basis, when for most fighters they're a big "no, no." His kicks are so fast he can get away with it.

 

I can't wait until they run out of dumb ****s who stand in front of Cung Le and he gets his head caved in with elbows and his arm snapped off.

 

Nope, I haven't heard who is opponent will be, but he will def. be fighting. I would think a guy like Forrest, or at least someone on that level, would be a good opponent. You know, a medioce guy that the fans know. I heard somewhere that Alexander Houston was being tossed around as a potential opponent, but I don't know if there's much truth to it. Still, interesting to ponder.

 

Rumor is Shogun-Babalu right now. At least Renato was approached with it.

 

I think he's fun to watch, but his worst nightmare is a good jiu-jitsu fighter. I have no doubt Cung Le absolutely sucks on the ground and would get arm barred in about 40 seconds. But his standup is so damn fun, I am glad all his opponents stand there and eat his kicks.

 

I'm trying to think who EliteXC has at 205 for Soko to even fight. There are a few halfway decent guys at 185 in EliteXC...but beyond that, who knows.
