SHAMROCK vs DIAZ is gonna be a war !

    Strikeforce (showtime) main event.....

    2 of my fav`s going at it in april sometime (I forget the date), Frank Shamrock & Nick Diaz, both guys are excellent submission guys with real good wrestling pedigrees & both can strike very well too, they always come to fight.

    Diaz says he wants to avenge his BJJ instructors (Cesar Gracie) 1st rd KO defeat to Frank Shamrock back in 07, he says he is fighting for Gracie Jiujitsu, its gonna be a great fight I feel.

    Frank is the bigger guy so this will be at a catchweight of 179 lbs.... will Frank be too big or too old ?

    Cant wait to find out.

    Cant wait for the pre fight talk to it should be entertaining and so should the fight both guys have been involved in some of the best fights ive ever seen.

    Nick Diaz has balls, but sadly for him he's going to get his ass kicked. As far as his wrestling it isn't that good. He gets taken down easily and is more noted for his jiu-jitsu not his wrestling. He was getting overpowered by guys at 170. Now he's gonna fight one of the best 185ers in the world? No man, Nick is gonna get broke the f**k up.

    yea lets just hope frank shamrock will use his ground game this time which is what he is good at instead of striking with diaz. Last time i saw shamrock fight he tried to stand with cung le and got his azz whoop :patsch He could have gone for the takedown and **** cung le up on the ground.

    Frank can stand with Diaz. Nick Diaz is no Cung Le on the feet. I question if Diaz can stand with Frank? He's never been hit by a legit 185er with good hands like Frank Shamrock. Remember Cung Le is a world class striker that broke his arm with a kick. Diaz doesn't possess that kind of ability and is not even known for his kicks or all around standup, just descent Boxing. I agree Frank could have won the Le fight on the ground but Cung Le is a good wrestler and has a good sprawl. Diaz will be taken down if Frank wants him there, so on the ground I think Frank can punish him there also.

    If Frank comes in well prepared, and mentally ready, he should own Diaz. My only worry is that Shamrock won't be ready. Thus, leading to a Nick Diaz upset victory.

    Frank, as the bigger guy, might be better keeping this on the feet, Im not saying he cant beat Diaz on the ground but its taking a bit of a chance as Diaz has great BJJ, he certainly wont be able to overwhelm Diaz on the ground I dont think, he might be able to on the feet however.

    It will be a very fun fight to watch. It's good to have a fight like this sort of out of left fix without caring about title pictures or real consequences, it allows for great fight.

    Havent kept up to date with franks career lately but if he,s anything near his best i cant see diaz lasting with him.....ok diaz is durable and has good subs but his stand up is awful and very amateurish i can see shamrock taking advantage of this weakness.

    I know what you mean, Diaz is a natural WWT, Frank can hang with LHWTs.
    I`ll be suprised if Nick can win this one.

    Frank is too old.

    But, he is significantly bigger and stronger than Diaz.

    Interesting matchup....and like mentioned before, the trashtalk leading up to the fight will be entertaining.
