Yeah, they've never asked me to specifically write on anyone or any subject so I get to choose what I do. I cover most of the fights in Perth when I'm not at work for the results page, and have done a handful of interviews. The only fight I've really written in length about was Chocolata's fight against Hlatshwayo, I was lucky to have a little inside info on the some of the goings on before the bout which worked out well, as well as walk out to the ring with Choc carrying some of the advertising boards, more a matter of being in the right place at the right time. I did do a scouting report on Wlod before his fight with Green, wasn't stoked that when it came out in print the final three paragraphs had been cut, and of course one part of that was to say to watch out for Wlods left hook. I don't have any allusions that my stuff is brilliant, in fact with most of I see ways it could have been improved after it's gone into print. I'm a long way from being worthy of cleaning Thomas Hauser's shoes, put it that way. There is stuff on Choc but I have no idea who write's it. And I have seen articles critical of Choc & Green, one was written by a mate, who also wrote a brilliant article on Lou Cafaro a few years ago, still the best thing I've read in years in the Fist.
You're very very naive fella. There were two weigh-in the day before the bout and Wlod had to make 192 on the first weigh-in or he would have lost massive $$$$$. Leon actually admitted this to me in a pm. As I said you're very very naive fella.
Deny it all you like Leon, you know it's right. You still deny that Green has catch weight bouts so there you go.
Nice try Leon. Like any normal person I delete pm's once I read them. Do you keep pm's and if so why ?:huh
I think I'm at 2/3 capacity, every now and then I do a clean out. How unlucky for you that the smoking gun that would prove such a remarkably plausible scenario has been deleted.
Why do you keep going on about it then Leon ? It seems your trying to convince yourself and others that it did not happen. I knew the fight was a catchweight and it proved correct to those in the know.
I am surprised, usually it's Ty who can't help but show how stupid he is, but you seem to be doing a might fine impersonation at the moment. Ah, you're the one who keeps bringing up a pm that would prove you theories correct. It makes perfect sense that you would delete it in this instance. Since you're so in the know, what was Wlod's weight at the media weigh in? The one where no weights were announced, a few hours before the weigh in?
