Wow. Feel bad for Shane. One serious injury after another, and he isn't exactly young.

Well, that's the end of Carwin. Shame, he's such a nice guy and has such terrible luck with injuries.

I'd love to see Mark hunt in there with him. And if he can actually knock Nelson out he's got one up on the current top tier of the UFC.

Could be a good opportunity for Mirku Huntuu. At his age, he needs to grab every fight that's on the table.

Such a shame they can't bring Cormier over.

I'm not surprised It's been rumored he has been injured for a good month or 2 now I would imagine the UFC have a back up option probably Struve.

He is very lucky to have a good paying job but Carwin is an example of why no matter where you are on your contract, you should get a decent minimum for eliminators, title fights etc Carwins lucky to have a good job to fall back on but I suspect theres alot of fighters that give it up because they can't be bothered with the injuries, politics etc anymore.

I figured it would happen. Carwin's too old for MMA. His heavyweight body can't stand up to the rigors of training any more.

It's too bad Cormier is scheduled for the final Strikeforce card in Jan or they could bring him in. All the other heavyweights are either injured or tied up with fights.
