And here we go again. People reading posts and placing all their own assumptions into what someone writes. 1.) I did not attack Schilt's acheivements, or even compare Carwin to Schilt. I said Schilt is slow. And damn it, he is. I would say everyone in the final 16 is quicker than him. My point was that if Schilt can be as you say - 'one of the most decorated fighters in the history of K1' (and i dont disagree) - then you can succeed without having the fastest hands, feet or knees. 2.) And we will have to disagree with Edwards. A good chin and alot of heart is one thing, and maybe he has that. But he is a few years or more off from being up to the final 16 standard. He throws wild aggressive strikes with no regards to defense or keeping his hands up, and leaves his chin sticking out there when throwing combo's. Those are rookie mistakes, not mistakes you expect to see at the final 16 GP. He needs alot more time to refine his skills before he will be at that level. Do i think Carwin is at the final 16 level? No. Far from it. But if knocking out a bunch of nobodys quickly is enough to get you there, then Carwin should qualify too.
Elite level K-1 is outta sight. Shane has no place in a sport based on pure striking. How about Remy in a BJJ tourney next week? Come on guys. No different than the boxing rants.
Yep. Their striking is on another level. I love it when certain guys can bring that striking into MMA i.e. Overeem, Shogun etc

Isnt it ironic. What made MMA so glorious in its inception was the unique styles each fighter brought to the sport. Now MMA has evolved into "ultimate wrestling".
