Shane might own the Tornado saturday and make it look easy!

    It's pretty simple actually. Do everything opposite of what Cotto did other than moving away from Margarito's left hand. While Cotto made the fight exciting he also fought a horrible fight technically. A blind person could see that. He wasted energy by sliding down the ropes all night, rather than simply stepping to the side and turning Margarito which makes Margarito miss as well because he has to get set to throw punches with any steam on them. This is because Margarito makes a concentrated effort to put his whole body into solid punches.

    Margarito doesn't do well with angles. A fighter has to be right in front of him. Cotto let that happen by sitting on the ropes instead of moving as soon as he felt them. These things caused him to run out of gas at the end. He went down from fatigue as much as Margarito's punching. It also allowed Margarito to get the exact distance he needed. His punches don't have much on the inside. Shane has the fast hands to land on the inside as well as being more athletic than Cotto which means he doesn't have to get set himself every time he throws like Cotto did.

    Shane also slips punches much better and combine that with the quick hands and he can hit Margarito several time then step to the side before Margarito gets anything significant off. Cotto made another mistake in mostly head-hunting. Obviously Margarito's chin will most likely hold up and since Shane has a very excellent left hook, he can throw to the body as he moves to his left, away from Margarito's left-hook and upper-cut which I feel are his most effective punches.
    But....it all depends on Shane keeping his fighter mentality in check and boxing when he needs to. He doesn't need to get sucked into to a slug fest with Margarito and he's plenty smart enough to do that. I believe he will execute the perfect game plan and decision Margarito by doing many of the things I have mentioned. A KO only happens if Cotto softened Margarito up and Margarito is stopped by cuts (which is possible) or if Shane scores major damage with his picture perfect left-hook to the body.

    not a chance although he put up a good fight against cotto he never really had cotto hurt and cotto's hurtable. margo isn't going to be fazed by speed, he'll take 10 of shanes to land his own. margo tko 9

    If it's so easy then how come Mosley didn't make it so easy against Mayorga who I view as a poor man's Margarito?

    i personaly think shane will be stopped for the first time late in the fight rd 10-12
    because he is just no spring chicken no more and margo will put on a basic yet relentless attack on his ass (HE WILL TIRE, HE IS TOO OLD)

    and then everyone will start chanting the magical word 'SHOT'

    I wouldn't be surprised. Margarito won't make it look easy IMO. The fight will be competitive but it goes the distance with Margarito sealing the deal in the late rounds.

    FORE SURE, i mean dont get me wrong shane will make margo look silly in this fight towards the early rounds 1-4 but maybe even till 7 or 8 but sooner or later he will run out of options when he is tired and gassed and that is when i am realy sad to say he will get pounded on

    Exactly. People for some reason mistake Mosley for a boxer/mover. He's not, he is a "fighter". There's no reason to believe that at his age he's going to reinvent himself.

    Fighting and ad******g to the pressure that marg brings it's not as easy as it seems. Cotto is a great professional yet he couldn't do it, along with many others who have tried. As long as margarito's chin recovered completely from the cotto fight, there is no way anbody beats him and makes it look easy!
