Shane might own the Tornado saturday and make it look easy!

I agree they are different styles all together, but if Shane ever had an opponent to make him look good it's Mayorga. I understand he's dangerous, but he's right there in front of you and not terribly hard to hit. Shane didn't look good that night. Period

 

LIke both fighters, and everybody's given good analysis in their own ways. But IMO, I'd be really happy to see Sugar get some Glory.

 

Mosley doesn't have the legs to move like he needs to anymore.

I disagree a little. We've known for years that Mayorga can deal with punches he sees coming. Shane has been loading up on single shots, especially at 154, for years now. A quick KO just wasn't happening in that matchup. Shane didn't look good, but reports of his demise have been exaggerated.

Since knocking out Tony is a pipe dream for pretty much anybody, I think we see Shane forced by common sense into being much more technical than he was against Mayorga. And as freakishly strong as Tony is, he has a typical Mexican style. Shane will have a much better sense of where and when Tony wants to throw than he did with Mayorga's crazy ass, who for all his lack of skill, is a better athlete than most give him credit for, and who gave Shane a few angles he wasn't expecting.

Not saying Shane will win easily, just don't expect to see him steamrolled either. I'm thinking Margarito by close UD or even a split.

 

No.. Shane is done. And after this fight most people here on ESB would suggest for him to retire.. This will be easY compared to Margs last fight.

 

Both want to fight in the center of the ring and are willing to exchange. Margarito of coarse is volume puncher who constantly brings volume pressure from all angles and with both hands. He is obviously presents a much more advanced challenge but none the less still shares some basic qualities with Mayorga.

 

Shane is sucker for the right hand! He doesn't slip it well. I think he's used to fighting on the outside and quick reflexes and great footwork. Maybe Nazim can help him in that department.

 

It won't be easy, but a guy with Shane's ability should be able to make Margo pay for being so aggressive. I think Mosely's ability to go to the body could play a big factor in this fight. If he makes Tony miss, then make him pay, I could see him taking the fight.

 

I found myself sort of nodding along with this post until the bit about SSM slipping punches very well, when was the last time that happened? :think

 

After all of his experience...do you think Mosley knows that?

 

This fight has a better shot at turning out Like Margarito vs Johnson than it does Shane winning and making it look easy.

 

Yeah, I doubt it will be easy. If that was the case, he should've embarrassed Cotto, right?

 

This is Sugar Shane where talking about. Sugar NEVER backs up not even when hurt. You best believe this will be in a phone booth and i wouldnt be surprised to see both guys hurt.

 

This is true. But Margo`s defence is his face. If a guy like Santos can hurt him you best believe Shane can too.
