So what? He was still prime and a P4P ranked fighter.

Not at all, when was the last time Dawson fought at 168 and what did he go on to do after Ward?

Dawson was as much a zombie as was ODLH, even ODLH had brought his weight down over 2 fights (his win over Forbes was at 150).

Forbes put the beats on Oscar in sparring and did well in their fight as well as other sparring partners did to Oscar in preparation for Pac. Dawson was younger and still a top fighter when he fought Ward. It was easier for him to make weight than it was for Oscar. Dawson really did nothing after Ward but neither did Oscar after Pac he retired.

I'd agree. Especially at the lower weights, Floyd was a complete package. His power didn't move up with him, but he didn't really fight the same way either.

I'd say the guy with the best shot at beating Floyd would have been a prime Mosely. The guy could pretty much match hand speed, likely had a little more power, and had quicker feet than Oscar.

Dawson hadn't fought at 168 for 10 years prior to the fight and was a big 175 fighter.

He then went 3-3 in his next final 6 fights.

The fight should have been made in the middle to be fully fair but we all know Ward only fights with the deck stacked for him.

Anyhow we'll have to agree to disagree.

He's fine at the weight. Oscar was past his best and at the end of the road, yet still gave Mayweather a tough fight, The late 90s-early 2000s version has more than enough to beat your hero whether you want to admit it or not. It's sad that as a man in his early to mid 30s that you still dwell in this fanboy fantasy land.

If you want to call that all you can handle because it helps you sleep better at night so be it. Maidana gave PBF a harder fight than Oscar did let that sink in.

I sleep fine at night, I'm comfortable with reality unlike you lol. Deny it all you want but that was far from the best Oscar against the best Mayweather and he more than held his own. Facts.

The late 90s-early 2000s Oscar is still a level or two level below PBF. There's not one ATG P4P list that has Oscar seen as greater than PBF. Hell his own mag ranked PBF higher FFS. That version of Oscar is still a one-handed fighter who faded down the stretch didn't have a plan B he still had slow feet and fought stiff and needed PBF's daddy to teach him how to fight like his son. PBF beats any version of Oscar. Oscar can't be PBF nor can he beat him, there's only one Mayweather.:deal: PBF also beat him with the deck stacked against him.

What's sad is a guy on the internet who can't give the best fighter of his era his due and move on. There's always wishful thinking by people like you that lesser fighters can beat him, must have been a sad era for you watching PBF prove you wrong and win fight after fight while people like me rubbed it in your face. LMFAO!! You'll never learn quit hating, jealousy is a ***** like trait.

And yet despite being a level or two below(according to you) He still held his own and then some against a prime Mayweather while he himself was at the end of his career. Why aren't you able to accept this simple fact? Oscar also took on much tougher competition than Mayweather, another fact that you conveniently choose to ignore. I can give credit to him for being a great fighter sure.. But you think he's immune to criticism and choose to ignore situations that dont go along with your hero worship.

And that wasn't the best PBF either. PBF had no business at 154. Oscar is already the bigger man fighting PBF in his worst weight class.

Mayweather is fine at 154. You don't seem to care about size when it's in Mayweathers favor.
