Now I'm almost certain Floyd would take it at their current 147, or at least I'd wager on such if I were asked to. But let me have your honest assesment as to a result of these guys meeting at either 135 or 140. Let us be honest and remember Sugar has always had power and chin over Pretty Boy.

shane's eternal weakness is his footwork. floyd beats shane.

and why do you think shane has a chin advantage over floyd?

I'd favor Floyd at 135 with each man at their best.

I don't think Shane became anything less at 147 than he was at 135, where as Floyd was never as impressive at the weight as he was in the lower divisions.

Welterweight would probably be the best division for Mosley to beat Mayweather at IMO (prime for prime).

I really don't understand how in the hell Shane's footwork was an eternal weakness. Shane actually had quick feet. The only difference is that Shane is willing to sit down on his punches and throw them with power. Floyd isn't beating people with footwork anyways. Floyd's main attribute is his quick upperbody movement.

Shane has always looked to have a better chin than Floyds. To be reasonable about this, Floyd has made more miss than Shane has. But when it comes to taking flush power punches, and the ability to counter instantly, a chin like Mosely's is hard to beat. He's certainly always impressed me with the chin and the immediate counter thereafter.

Thanks. This is what I was looking for. Not necassarily a debate of any kind, but simply an honest take from a devoted fan. And if not conveyed, let me assure you your post is hard to argue with. Pretty sceptical on the last part, but I've always been a safe gambler.

I like Mayweather at 135 lbs. I think Shane gained some power when he went up to 147 but didnt lose anything in the way of speed or skill. I would slightly favor Shane at 147 pounds if both men are in their primes.
