HIVirus and Small pecho will be on here in a minute to refute this, but we all know what happened. If you don't, you should know that his back went out against Mundine, and the fight was stopped in the 6th round. Shane is a powerlifter. He's been doing deadlifts and squats for years. At the age of 40, he may be paying the price for his heavy lifting. Mike Boyle, a renowned sports scientists, is one of the few that advocates taking squats and traditional deadlifts out of the program, but unlike his contemporaries, his teachings espouse both performance AND longevity, as opposed to just performance. When will this madness stop? I will go on record, talking to you young kids out there, and say, "Stop all that heavy weightlifting!" Instead, switch to calisthenics and kettlebell training. Small pecho will tell you to use a 70 lb kettlebell, but I don't advocate that for ANYONE starting out. In fact, regardless of your level of strength, you should start out with a 35 lb kettlebell for swings, unless that's too heavy of course. You can purchase one at stores like Walmart and Sports Authority, so if is too easy, you can take it back within a month. It's your life. You don't want to end up like HIVirus and small pecho.
