Did you see floyd at lightweight? It was prbabaly the succession of limited performances, the best win being the 2 against Castillo who you have thought would have been made for him, but he struggled both times.

He also didnt show much power against the likes of Victoriana Sosa, he showed decent dig against Ndou but Ndou was a super featherweight. Mosley beats Floyd at lightweight. He is good enough to put the pressure on PBF but also quick enough to catch him.

Flashy arm punches? WTF are you talking about:patsch:roll: Mosley sat on his punches at 35.He had power for days.Look at his record of KO`s aswell as his defences.Believe a fight with Floyd and Shane prime for prime at 35 would have spelt disaster for PBF.

The guy who posted the flashy arm punches posts nothing but **** about Mosley. Odviously a hater. Mosley was top 5 at lightweight. Its amazing the guy can arm punch his way to 32-0 with 30 ko's at lightweight.

Mosley was very good at LW, but Mayweather would have gave him his first lost down there :yep

So those that dispute that Shane does not throw arm punches. Why did Floyd admit that Shane has just as fast of hands as him and said the same thing. Why was Shane's father basically telling his ass to turn with his punches against Cotto when he was throwing ARM punches. What did Shane throw against Winky. ARM punches. That is why Winky let him hit him. It is a very bad habit of Shane forever. So you clowns are telling me he decided to throw more arm punches against bigger guys which he would need to sit on his shots more to have an effect. He was not a puncher at 147 despite being a normal size extremely strong welter. What changed. Did he decide to take leverage off of his shots or did he OBTAIN MOST OF THOSE KNOCKOUTS BY SPEED COUNTER SHOTS at lightweight. I am giving him credit for being able to hit hard with arm punches as the same with Calzaghe or an ODH. Some guys can get power without turning with there punches too much. IF Shane was this huge puncher at 135 he would of still been a puncher at 147. Which he is not. STFU you dick riding ****s. I admit he is a great fighter but the fact that he does not turn with his shots well is fact.

The Early 147 Mosley was actually faster than than the lightweight Mosley, maybe not as dominant overall, but he was faster...

Shane Mosley was never no Roy Jones. If I would have to compare him to a fighter it would probaly be someone like Terry Norris or from the old day's Ike Williams. He was a boxer/brawler but he loved to brawl more.

Maybe he looked so great at 135 because he fought relatively weak opposition?

The "arm punches" that Shane throws are not punches at all. You're thinking of his jab. Though Shane every now and then throws a real jab, mostly when he does is kind of just flick his left hand out real fast. They're not real punches, not designed to score or even to land. But like a feint they make it hard for his opponents to get set, or often times he'll flick out the jab over and over again until his opponents are expecting the jab and then he'll follow it up with a big right hook!! Bam!

This is what he did for Cotto, what he tried to do with Oscar, and in many other fights. Shane has a really good left hook too, early in his career he scored some really cool knockouts with it, and he used it well against Oscar and even knocked out Vargas with it! That being said, he doesn't throw it much now either.

And in some ways Shane DID look like Roy early in his career. Stylistically they were totally different, but Shane was able to score some CRAZY knockouts just like Roy did. Leaping left hook leads (triple left hooks at that!), huge right hook leads, etc etc...

Also Shane could flurry hooks in combinations as fast as someone like a Sugar Ray Leonard too. It was very impressive back in his prime, though of course these aren't punches that do much, they just look very cool.

Mosley would've lost to Floyd at LW. AT WW though, due to being a better fighter himself, and Floyd's speed deteriorating a bit, I think a prime Mosley has a better chance. Id also possibly take a prime Shane at WW to beat Cotto, though I'm not one of the ones that had Mosley winning.

My thing with Shane if you watch him. He does not turn with his punches properly most of the time. When he does, he gets some serious zip. To me, it is a stigma and if you listen to his father in between rounds he is CONSTANTLY leaning on him about that same thing. When Winky showed him up the first fight made Mosley look like a pure wimp. Easily rolling with his punches. The second fight he tried the same **** and Mosley cranked one off proper and Winky was stunned and quite ****ing around. If Shane did not have that ONE flaw he would of been able to hurt Cotto or knock him out. He just could not get the leverage and turn his punches.

At LW Mosley had the greatest ko percentage ever. He absolutley dominated everyone.
