http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slv59fg_M88&list=PL86BD8AA30E55153F&index=1 It just shows how hard it is for Athletes to walk away from the sport they dedicated their life for. War Sugar!
I like Shane and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to walk away from all the bright lights and adoration. I really don't think he has much left but hopefully he has enough left to hurt and beat Paulie (even though I think Paulie is cool too) Going to be interesting to see if his dad can motivate him to another big win!
shane has been bred to fight. he has done nothing but box (thats not a put down) his whole entire life. when you see kids form the streets who turn to boxing when they leave they go back to where they where from but shanes been a world level athlete since the late 80's. i didnt know what my life was to bring till i was in my early 20's and in that i still dont in a sense. but when you're that good for such a long period of time there is no way you can just drop it and change. he should go into training while having a few fights on the side so he can change. promoting with a part of GBP, find some young talent. he is young enough to do that and not stuck like a lot of other fighters. but he is still competative to a point.
Shane needs to give it up. He's got a son who could have a solid future. Enjoy your life, man. You got kids.
I wouldn't mind Shane fighting a couple of lower level guys, Lopez or mattew hatton maybe but he is not got what it takes to win a title again
Paulie really isn't to much of a threat to him. Shane clearly is the harder hitter, while Paulie is the younger fighter. I think Shane should go for it, but should he loose this fight. I think he should just hang it up.
Still can't get that image of Shane wanting to quit because of a blister. He's done. Hate to see him go again
