You would take what you want to here. Forrest gave him a concussion and beat the **** out of him when he was an undefeated young champion. Against Pac he was old and scared looking for a paycheck.

I respect your opinion buddy but look at the fight [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzzYlMfkbJ4&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PL520A5A1B1BBC4DEA[/ame]

at about 5 :10 he get head-butted. He clearly has his legs and is ok. After that he take the monster right hands and the uppercut and he is so so hurt. I would say that if any punch cause the concussion it was the uppercut and the head-butt came latter as an excuse

YEah maybe, I seem to recall the HB beaing more devastating, been a while since I saw that.

Even watching Shane get beat up against Forrest, its so easy to see how badly hes faded today.

man just watching him talk before any of his fights like 5 or 10 years ago. The guy has first symptoms of a brain damage. The Pac fight was a disgrace for me...

I think against Forrest a piece of Mosley's mind was gone or in a fog the moment he got hit with that big right hand. After that he wasn't really all there.

So it's possible he may not have been feeling the pain the same way. I doubt it though, and think he's exaggerating. Even putting aside the famous 2nd round, there were some bodyshots late in the fight that made Mosley literally scream with pain against Forrest. (Shane went into the fight with a hernia, apparently).

I don't think anything Pac threw at him came close to being like that.

I don't know what to say when fighters talk about who hit them the hardest. In a lot of cases, I think what a fighter has to say about another guy's punching power is at least partly influenced by the fighter's opinion of the man punching him.

I remember reading an article awhile back where Mayorga claimed that DLH hit him harder than Trinidad did. In a similar vein, though, Vargas said Trinidad hit him harder than DLH did. We all know how much Vargas hates Oscar, whereas he probably doesn't hate Tito nearly as much (unless Vargas spends a lot of time staying awake thinking "Man, I could have beat Trinidad if he didn't enter Golota Mode after I hurt him in round 4" which he probably doesn't.) I think Mayorga doesn't have any special, greater disdain for any of his particular opponents, so I think he's a pretty reliable source, but the same cannot be said for all fighters.

As for Mosley, a lot of people at the higher weights don't seem to believe that Pacquiao possesses the same brutal, one-shot power he had at the lower weights. He still has power, but it seems to be cumulative at 147 especially, where he stops people after an accumulation of punches. Getting nailed by Pac can't be easy to shake off even at 147, but Mosley has taken clean shots from the likes of DLH, Forrest, Vargas, Mayorga, and many other naturally bigger men renowned as hard punchers earlier in his career and hasn't said anything like that.

My guess is his punch resistance has declined a bit, so he probably feels Pac's punches more than he would have say a decade ago, and that he is also hyping Pac for whatever reason. I love Pac, but I don't think he's hit Mosley the hardest. Pac hasn't 1-shotted anyone at 147, or KTFO anybody since Hatton at 140. He still hits hard, but I don't see him putting anybody to sleep at 147, just wearing them down and reducing them to a bloody mess after an accumulation of shots.

    Goddamn.

Why are people getting uppity if Pac didnt hit Shane the hardest? That would lend credence to the roids accusations. He's obviously not as big of a puncher as the smaller classes.

Shane ran away from Pac after getting dropped, something he didn't do against Vernon Forrest.

    Actions speak louder than words.
