Should be ahead of Joe and Winky in my opinion. I dont like Shane since he moved up in weight from his original division but his opponents consists of whos who in boxing. Who has joe fought (grandpas not included).. And Winky, its just boring to talk about Winky.

Shane is being overrated as always. He's not legitimately a top 100 fighter of all time. Definitely not above Trinidad, as has been suggested.

Sorry, I was thinking about Hoyas list of opponents. Still Mosley have more solid competition compared to Joe.

Well Mosley was a brilliant lightweight. No-one until Mayweather would have been able to give him a really good fight. Sure, he didn't beat brilliant opposition, but he was more dominant there can Tito could have been at welter or junior middle. And when Mosley did move up, he beat De La Hoya far easier than Trinidad did. Had they fought, Mosley would have beaten Trinidad too.

    Marquez never dominated a division.

Tito was just as dominant at WW as Mosley was at LW, against superior opposition at that. He fought and defeated overall better opposition throughout his career as well, both in terms of quality and quantity(aside from DLH).

Head to head I'd easily favor Tito over Shane, likely by KO. Terrible matchup for Sugar.

all time he would be well outside the top 100.

Shane Mosley held the IBF lightweight title for 2 years. He never unified, therefore he was never linear champ and never undisputed. He only had 9 world title fights at lightweight, and the best names on there are Philip Holiday, John John Molina, Jesse James Leija, and Golden Johnson.

IMO of the 9, the only quality opponent was Holiday. Compare that to Tito's 147 resume. You're having a laugh mate. Mosley held IBF lightweight title - Tito unified the welterweight (WBC&IBF) and lightmiddleweight titles (all three major titles). Owned.

Mosley would not have beaten Trinidad, and JM Marquez may not have dominated a division but neither did Mosley. JMM's achievements and resume will be greater than Mosley's by the time he retires, if they aren't already.

Yes, I would go along with that. I'd probably lump in Trinidad too, albeit sligtly ahead of Tszyu and Mosley at the least.

thread isn't about how exciting the fights are but how skilled the fighter is, and winky's one of the few legitimately avoided fighters of his time because of the skills he has.

What about Pongsaklek Wonjongkam? He won 49 straight fights including 18 title fights in a row. Currently #5 ranked flyweight in the world.
