"I spoke To Floyd Mayweather Jr Personally and he told me he does not want to fight me right now. Maybe he wants to take a couple tune ups and we can fight later on but right now he doesn't want to fight me."

"Paul Williams is not really an option for me right now either, Right now I just want to try to take mega fights so Im waiting for the winner of Pacman vs Hatton Or possibly Cotto Down The Line. Those are the only fights im interested in for the time being"

Mosley should avoid Williams. High risk, low reward.

Mosley usually jumps at the opportunity for those kind of fights, but Williams is a tough cookie.

The one fight Shane needs is Mayweather. Shane better hope that Hatton beats Pacquiao and then we may get to see it.

That's a fight I have wanted to see for the longest time.

hes in his late 30's and has been fighting since the early 90's... you cant be that mad at him for that.....

people gotta remember THESE DUDES HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR THEIR WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!

im sure after a while they get tired of fighting war after war and they slowly want to start fighting chess matches... they fight war after war earlier in their career...

Can you blame him?, it's at the end of his career anyway and making the most money sounds reasonable. Mosley isn't out there seeking legacy, he already crossed that line.

Yep. Mosley has fought his way to the top and he deserves a BIG fight.

That's why you would always like Mosley. Frank and honest about his views.

But Hatton and Pacquaio would be too small for him. If he beat a large WW in Margarito, both Hatton and Pac would look like dwarves beside him, and would get knocked out ****ly within 3 rounds.

I hope he can fight Williams and Cotto though.

Fair play to Mosely, he's 37. He only has a couple of fights left in him, may aswell go after the cash cows, gte a nice wee retirement package.

Mosley's such a nice dude it probably went down as he said.

"Hey Floyd, how about you and me mix it up in the summer?"
    Floyd-No
"Alright cool. A lil while later? After some tune ups?"
Floyd- Maybe I'll think about it.
"Thanks buddy! Happy Easter to you and yours!"
    Floyd- Stop callin me
"You got it! Have a good one Floyd."

Mosley is an older guy whose taken on a bunch of young lions recently and really doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. Personally I hope he gets his nice pay day and goes out on a high note, I'd hate to see Mosley take a bunch of meaningless fights just to get a pay day and wind up looking poor as a result.

yeah Cotto is his best bet.... mosley just has to hope & prey that if cotto wins that they dont try to set COTTO up with the winner of pac vs hatton.... if that happens shane will be ****ed... hell be stuck in no mans land begging floyd for a fight or stuck having to fight paul williams....

    i hope floyd fights shane

oh yeah your right... i dont even know what floyd is trying to do..... i dont mind that he does that because at some point all guys do that... but im just annoyed that he steps out for so long and then comes back...

Well IF (IF) Cotto and Pac get matched up and IF Hatton takes a fight with JMM, there's always the slim possibility of him going BACK up to 154 and taking on Vernon Forrest for a 3rd fight.

Forrest is GBP property much like SSM and while it's not the most rewarding option, there's enough built in history for Shane to at least make a solid pay day.
