i don't think shane brings as much reward to floyd at the moment, if shane beats cotto then i think floyd might take the fight.

this is how i see it going, marquez vs floyd is made for july, in may pacquiao beats hatton and calls out the winner. hatton contemplates retiring. floyd beats marquez and the pacquiao fight is made for october/november. around the same time the rematch between cotto and mosley is made. floyd beats pacquiao and mosley beats cotto. the journey to mosley vs floyd is complete.

This fight really makes the most amount of sense to me. To guys of the same era who are considered as the best of their times and fought in the same divisions.I always wonder who would win this one.And I always give it to Shane. Speed, Power, Combinations, Mayweather has the defense and youth in his corner.
If this fight doesn't happen soon surely Floyd will regret this later on and wonder who was the man

Hasn't Arum pretty much nudge nudge wink winked that Pac's next fight will be against another Top Rank fighter. So far he's mentioned guys like Cotto and JCC Jr as the next step for Pac. Even Edwin Valero has been thrown out there.

Wouldn't surprise me if he gave Pac an easy touch.

The reality is that prior to Margarito he also stated he only wanted the mega fights, and the Margarito fight was not considered a mega fight, more of a regular boxing fan's fight. Paul Williams fits along those lines but I suspect he believes Paul Williams is too much of a high risk low reward type of fight for him at the moment. I doubt we will ever see him in there against Paul.

Thats my point, mega fights my ass.... At this point of his career it all comes down to who can I fight that I know I can beat and get some decent money/exposure for it.

I'm happy Shane's looking for the big fights but I think inactvity will end up plaguing him unfortunately because of the unability to find big fights for him so soon.

Roy Jones made an career doing that!

Anyway, Mosley has reached the point where he deserves that. He always fought any and all comers, and always wanted to prove himself against the best.

When Forrest and Winky were each stuck on the outside looking in, Shane was the one who wanted those fights. When he lost to each, he also sought immediate rematches.

Few fighters in recent times have wanted to prove their worth as much as Mosley.

In the end, I won't be surprised if Mosley actually fights Williams because he's ****ing crazy.
