For a 36 year old man to give Cotto such a give and take, extremely hard fight that Mosley easily could have won is astonishing. Mosley took Cotto's best shot without so much as flinching...and did so over, and over, and over. He also backed Cotto up and had him in trouble. I had the fight a draw, i'd say they were completely even by the end of the fight. But overall Mosley showed his unbelievable caliber at such an old age for a fighter. I was incredibly impressed that he could perform so well and for so long against the monster that is Cotto. Good game, and please...don't retire just yet! :good
Mosely is the man indeed. He proved me wrong, I thought he would really show his age against Cotto but I give him props.
I lose no respect for Mosley in the loss to Cotto. Mosley is still a top-tier fighter and would give any of the welterweight champions fits in the ring, even Mayweather.
I was a big Mosely fan when I was younger, but he needs to retire. He's slower, his reflexes aren't quite there(which is why he gets tagged up so much anymore), and just doesn't look fluid out there anymore. If Cotto had a better right hand, Mosely would've been eating canvas. In the end, I give him respect for hanging in there like he did. However, he'll take too much punishment against the top fighters in the division and should hang em up before he ends up like Roy.
Mosley is a beast, but I would like to see him reture, I dont want to see him fighting as a diminished version of sugar shane.
mosley is a legend and he proved it fighting like that at 36 years of age with a great younger fighter who will be a legend himself
Mosley is a future HOFer and a people's champion. He's still got enough to compete with the best, but probably not for too long. I'd like to see him in 1 or 2 more fights and then call it a career.
That's a tough one...perhaps the winner of Williams/Cintron or the loser of Mayweather/Hatton because I see the winner fighting Cotto in 2008.
