Mosley lost to De La Hoya, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Winky, Forrest, Cotto, and went life and death with a past prime Mayorga and life and death once with a shot Vargas....

Out of that list he beat DLH 11 years ago, a shot Mayorga in a fight Mosley could have very well been losing, and a very shot Vargas after going 10 rds previously in a fight most felt the one eyed Vargas was taking over.

Looking back at Mosley's wins in the last year, none of his opponents present more than what Canelo has, but Margarito who presents a great chin...Mosley only has a punchers chance...that's all.

Either you didn't watch the fight or you're trolling.

Mosley is a guy that can revive his career time and time again

Alvarez isnt perfect, Gomez gave him a fight, one legged Kermit got desperate and stunned him

my thing is is that does Mosley have the will to maybe take some to land some, to hold his ground or walk thru shots to get to Alvarez

Alvarez's best quality in my eyes is his handspeed he had Rhodes and Cintron discouraged because his much faster hands kept them gun shy, well at least til Cintron put some firepower on his shots

I think Mosley may get hit by some shots he didnt expect to get hit with and get discouraged

or he mans up and fights back and pushes the young kid who hasnt been thoroughly tested yet

This looks like an uphill battle for old, shot to **** Mosley for sure, but when you have been someone as great as SSM, you still have a chance to surprise the world however slim it may be. Canelo's defense is full of holes and he's not afraid to just go in and trade, and Shane has power and the experience to put it to good use, we'll see, power is the last attribute a boxer loses and Shane could surprise us again, but it's very unlikely.

That "midget" was ranked #1 in the world at the time.

Look at what the fuk Ishida did to Kirkland? And James still has the same chin.

40 or not, Shane is a better choice than anyone out there for Alvarez at this point.

Shane will be more competitive than the low skill and glass jawed Kirkland who was crushed by Ishida and looked suspect in the El Perro fight (chin did).

Also, Shane gave Manny some TECHNICAL PROBLEMS (NOTHING MORE BUT NONE THE LESS)...I DOUBT EL PERRO OR KIRKLAND GIVE PAC ANY TECHNICAL PROBLEMS-PAC AND FLOYD KNOCK KIRKLAND AND EL PERRO EARLY-Shane goes the distance-

Shane is better than El Perro too...El Perro is limited and Canelo would brutalize em and make em eat punch after punch-CANELO IS VERY ACCURATE IN HIS BOXING GAME.

LARA AND DZINZIRUK DO NOT HAVE THE NAME.

That's as may be, but there's no glory to be had in beating a dead man walking.

And Oscar will be fully aware that both of these guys would beat Alvarez.

Having mosley beat canelo is like pissing in your drinking water. Totally predicted he would fight mosley and not kirkland because kirkland is way to dangerous. I fully expect mosley to take a dive here. Golden boy isnt gonna risk their golden ticket.

Why is Golden Boy sacrificing Canelo to Sugar Shane? I thought they had high hopes for Canelos future? Mosley is a monster, a pitbull in a cage

So there is glory in beating a proven glass chin? What happens when Kirkland gets rocked in the 1st and 2nd round? Ishida does not have the accuracy nor the SKILL that Canelo have nor MOSLEY and he found Kirkland easy-

El Perro is a limited one dimensional fighter, while very good, lacks versatility-

I can accept an argument with Canelo fighting El Perro over Shane maybe..But to say Kirkland-HELL NO-He is not a very good fighter and very overrated-I used to be on the Kirkland band wagon myself, until I saw him exposed by Ishida and then he proved his chin was really GLASS with El Perro..he got lucky El Perro tired too.:deal

I never mentioned Kirkland, or any other possible opponent for that matter. All I'm saying is that Mosley is a crappy choice at this stage. He's forty or thereabouts, he's not won in three years, he's never been great above welterweight, he's lost two of his last three...

Canelo wins, and he beat a shot former great. He loses, and he couldn't even beat a shot former great.

Kirkland-glass chin or not-is at least a live opponent...

Please tell me the better choice?:think

I would like to here it-

Dzinziruk and Lara do not have the draw power YET

Williams?? DiBella isn't putting Williams in with a guy who can crack yet...

So please tell me who is a more competitive fight out there for Shane?

Lets not forget Shane offers more than double in pay -he can only make over a million with Shane-lets not forget the circumstances around the event and the date too.:thumbsup

I'm not disputing the financial aspect or the big name impact Mosley offers, but that doesn't make him a good choice of opponent. A win over Mosley would prove NOTHING.
