A win over Shane would be the biggest win of Canelo's career up to date.:deal

It proves more than any other 154 LB fighter can prove, not named Miguel Cotto (and Floyd if u want to include him)..Beating an unknown Lara or Dzinziruk proves very little as does beating 2 very very slow hype jobs-Again-Kirkland was brutalized by Ishida and showed us it wasn't just that one fight when his chin was exposed by El Perro-

A win over Shane proves more than a win over any other 154 lb opponent-it does more for his career than any other 154 lb opponent-Shane is faster than Kirkland and El Perro too, which may bother Canelo-I think Shane is stronger than Canelo and has more power too-Canelo is more versatile and has less miles, sure-but there is more there in the past few fights, to suggest Shane would beat Canelo over any other fighter at 154...

What do u think of Ishida-Canelo? I know its a side note but just wanting to know who you would take and how?

Ishida I know nothing much about, other than he upset Kirkland. I know Ishida's tall, but not known to bang. It's curious that he's sort of thrown into the mix now, because he was meant to be no more than a side note for Kirkland. Canelo would have to start as favourite, same as Kirkland did.

I really do think you're over-playing Mosley's chances though against the ginger kid. You may be right, and stylistically it could prove to benefit Mosley rather than vice versa, but a win over Mosley now is like Kevin McBride's win over Tyson; a name, but nothing more than that.

Even though I hope this happens I still think you're forgetting that Mosley has stamina issues at this stage of his career. Even if he hurts Alvarez, he might run out of gas trying to finish him.

Negative-A win over Mosley is much better than McBrides win over Tyson-

Mosley is the best available opponent for Canelo in terms of-

    Competitiveness
    Draw Power
    Money
Skill (not including Lara or Dzinziruk in this as they simply don't bring money to the table)

I'm not saying Shane is gonna go in their and beat em-I dont know who wins-Most likely Canelo-I'm saying its the most competitive fight out there PLUS it brings the most money in.

I see canelo probably outboxing the **** out of Mosley like Cotto did to Margarito. Shane just has a lot of trouble with movement and counterpunching. But then again Shane is Shane, so he might brutalize Canelo too. It's all about who wants it more. Wow, Shane doing undercards.......

Exactly, and as I've said, there's a good reason why after 40 pro fights this guy still hasn't fought anybody.

A win over Kirkland is mos def not the biggest up to date-I give Cintron a nod over El Perro and Kirkland at this point-

It's funny that they voted Kirkland in my thread-then the ishida post was made and MOST EVERYONE BOUNCED UP OUT IT.

Shane is a harder fight for Canelo than El Perro or Kirkland-HE'S FASTER AT 40 THEN BOTH MEN TOO:rofl

Not at this point in Canelo's career-nor did he want Dzinziruk-I think Shane is the most competitive outta the fighters listed in Rodriguez, Mosley, El Perro, and Kirkland.

Rodriguez would come to fight but would be outclassed

I think Mosley was the best choice because of the money. Maybe Oscar knows something we don't because Shane could feast on Canelo
