Shane Mosley "Miguel Cotto knows how to find way to win, Canelo not so much"

Yep. I think a lot of people that vilified Jin Mosley need to seriously reevaluate looking back. She took care of him for years as his manager, gave him consistently good professional advice, minded their children while he lived the high life and enjoyed his celebrity...so when viewed holistically it becomes less of an issue that she got, say, his original title belts in their divorce. (which came about due to him not wanting to work on the marriage, and proving his man-child by running out and finding himself a gold-digging arm trophy in the much younger Bella Gonzalez...)

 

Lol Mosley still mad that he lost to Canelo when Canelo was still a kid lmao.

 

Only time Canelo couldn't find a way to win was against Mayweather but hey, who has? ?

 

Hey, Oscar was the one who gave that idiot a job, and even after shane admitted to using PEDs in their second fight, oscar didn't go after getting it turned a NC and had every right to do so. Shane was the idiot laughing after the rematch, acting as if he really won when the whole world saw him with his head down in the corner, his father urging him on, mosley looking like he wanted to quit. Then comes the shock on mosley's face when he was announced the winner later to laugh it off and pretend like he knew he was going to win. Oscar was always generous to Mosley, helped propel his name, was robbed in the rematch yet still gave this guy a key role in his company, and didn't try to overturn the rematch when he could have after shane admitted to juicing.

 

You don't think Oscar is a fake? By the way, I never have liked Mosley.

So you're saying right here, right now if Canelo wins you wont give him credit because you're saying Cotto is past his best? That's a BS excuse.

 

Sure, in his position you can't show your ass very often. He's smart as hell though. I'm not sure i've ever seen oscar drop his camouflage, except maybe post tito fight walking back to the change room but it wasn't anything but him showing passion for once. But i've heard of the ex nut and the kid he had with her and some rumors, which weren't very nice whatsoever but there's always 2 sides. Oscar acts like a US president, just never lets down his guard and always says the correct things. But if he really was that bad of a guy, I don't think Hopkins would've been by his side that much.

 

I don't think Canelo is as good overall as Cotto. Cotto's been at it for a LONG time though, into his 15th year as a pro. I honestly think he peaked years ago.

 

You think Hopkins is a "nice" guy? I don't. If Hopkins wasn't making money off of Oscar, he would kick him to the curb in a second. I don't know how smart Oscar is either. I think he has had smart people backing and working for him. How smart can you be to get coked up and let some hookers take pictures of you in drag when you have a "Golden Boy" image? Hopkins is probably smarter than Oscar.

 

Hopkins is a massive douche but he's at least real.


...and, I shouldn't even say he's a massive douche, the one time I spoke with him on the phone during Rummy's podcast he was super nice to me and he does seem to make time for the fans regularly and gets on amiably with other fighters...he's just a bit full of himself, and rough around the edges (and maybe a tad racist). But most importantly, unlike his respective current & former partners @ GBP he isn't the least bit fake.

 

He peaked as a WW, but he is still in pretty solid form today and if Canelo wins it's because he was the better man, not because Cotto was shot.

 

Yeah i can agree with the Hopkins is a douche part. I met that fool at the Casamayor-Katsidis fight, well actually i was in the row behind him a few seats from shane Mosley and went up to him to get an autograph he told me yeah then shined me on.. I was like fuk you then in a whispered voice and ran! I remember i went for Slappy Joe after that.

 

I never said Hopkins was fake. That much I will give him. However, I do remember an incident when he evicted his nephew for being late on his rent while his wife was pregnant. All credit to both Hopkins and Oscar for making it from where they came but neither one of them are shining examples of mankind.

 

Where were the adjustments when trout, Floyd, clottey, pac , margarito etc were beating the snot out of him
