Mosley would win it. Watch his sparring clip with Chavez at 135 lbs. He could stick and move despite his lack of headmovement.

at any weight Trinidad would eventually catch Mosley and then destroy for the rest of the fight....i can't see Mosley being stopped, but Tito would hammer him once he lands that left, and Mosley will be hit by it at some point because he loves to exchange....if it's at 147 in their primes i think it looks like the David Reid fight where Tito is getting handled until he lands the hook, and it was downhill for Reid from that point on....it would be a HOF fight....

    tricky question.

mosley had superb hands but his footwork let him down.

trinidad had superb power but he was beaten by fighters who were superior technicians.

i think oscar was an allround better fighter than both but thats a pandora's box and it's too late where i am right now to debate this.

just like to say that i thnk felix and shane were excellent fighters for their era but both lacked a "completeness" to be considered as good as they could have been.

a pleasure to watch them both in their prime though.

    Mosley.

He's approximately equal to DLH and Oscar schooled Tito, so I would expect Shane to do the same.

Would he get the decision, though?

    That's another question.

Tito wins. Mosley was never much of a boxer and would rather exchange punches with his opponents at midrange, his style plays perfectly into Tito's hand. Defensively Shane isn't so great and I see him getting caught with big punches should they decide to trade. He lacks an authoritve jab to outbox Tito (Like Winky/Forrest/Cotto/DLH), although his footspeed could give Trinidad problems (if he uses it). Tito's advantage in power, accuracy and technique would overwhelm Molsey's best assets, allowing him to land the better shots at mid-range. Honestly Molsey was never hard to drag into a brawl, the same would happen hear and lead to his demise.

Each round both fighters would have there moments, however Trinidad would definately land the harder shots and get the better of it as the fight wears on. His great stamina especially would help him take over late in the fight. Eventually Trinidad's left hook and right hand would being to find the mark more often, there is only so much someone can take and I expect a corner stoppage/ref stoppage late in the fight. A decision in't out of the question.

Shane gives a good account of himself but unfortunately Trinidad wins by late TKO. :good

Trinidad. MOsley got hit way too much to survive 12 rounds and win a decision against Tito

He's right. People confuse being fast with being slick. Mosley was a come forward slugger who overwhelmed opponents with fast accurate combos he relied on aggression not boxing and countering (which is the only way to beat Tito). He was always there to be hit and you just can't to that with Trinidad

I meant that he wan't slick boxer who had the ability to outbox Tito. He was fast with good footspeed, but he was easy to hit and could be outboxed by more technically sound fighters. Like thewoo said he's a mid-range slugger who likes to overwhelm his opponents with speed and accuracy. Id doubt Shane would try to outbox him anyway, it would most likely end up a slugfest.

I don't think Tito was as technically sound as Shane.

If you look the three common opponents, Winky, Fernando and Oscar,

IMO, Shane did much better against Winky (it would be hard to do worse than Tito), he did better (twice) against an admittedly lesser version of Vargas, and he definitely did better against Oscar.

I think this one goes the distance with both men tasting the canvas, and Shane taking the UD.

Mosley would have clearly outworked and outpunched Trinidad. Trinidad has always been overrated.
