Mosley went to 147 after his reign as a LW titlist, but he was a very big LW anyway. 140 lbs is a good matchup. This would've been exciting.
Pryor's best performance is Arguello, which is past Arguello's prime weight and there are some shady circumstances around it. Still, he looked great on film in that fight. Mosley though, I think he has the better resume and I'd have to take him at 140 even if he never was a 140 lber.
I tend to think along these lines when it comes to this matchup. Would be an amazing fight without question.
This is just a ridiculous statement. Pryor was a pretty awesome amateur. Had unbelievable power, good skills & a never quit attitude. He was one of the best fighters to ever fight 140LBS or step into the ring for that matter
Pryor would be dropped by Mosley of that I am sure. Maybe even multiple times. But mentally Pryor is much stronger and physically around the same. Mosley wins first half, with Pryor on the verge of stopping Mosley and this is prime Mosley not faded one who still hasn't been stopped. I think he does end up flooring Mosley or makes him take a knee Pryor had greater stamina. Classic fight Pryor by SD15.
Pryor was excellent at both amatuer and pro levels. For the recod I don think he is a drug cheat, people should alaso find tapes of fights other than Arguello as he is great to watch in other fights as well. Mosley was quicker though and had decent power and I can see him taking advantage of the mistakes Pryor will inevitably make. Great fight, Mosley on pts for me.
