Shane would land something at some stage.

Khan is neither as accurate nor as powerful as any of Floyd, Manny or Canelo.... and thus wouldn't keep Shane pinned down so much, which would ultimately prove decisive in the fight.

Mosley is a shell of his former self. As much as I think Khan has a shaky chin I don't think Mosley can pull the trigger anymore to expose it. IMO he would be frozen by Khan's speed and spend the whole fight trying to load up.

Good test the waters fight as you say

Mosley has the power and hand speed to deliver a shot but is probably too shot to land a follow up

might be like his Floyd fight or Khans fight vs Diaz where he gets Khan in lots of trouble at some point or another but doesnt have the ability to finish the deed

Even a shot to **** sugar shane cleans khans clock. Would bet the farm on Mosley KO if this ever happened. Khan wouldn't be able to resist going toe to toe at some point like the dumb ****er he is, and then its guaranteed lights out time.

Khan's chin is weird. He can survive guys who are known as punchers. Aside from Prescott, he has been hurt by some very light to average punchers. Almost as if he anticipates not getting hurt based on the boxers KO record. But then he survived two big punchers, if anything, known to be good for their power only, in Maidana and Diaz.

I never saw Garcia as some big puncher before. He fought Holt who is susceptible to getting KO'ed but Garcia never hurt him. He also decisioned very old versions of Nate Campbell and Erik Morales, and now decisioned Judah, although he hurt him, we've seen Judah get knocked out before. If you are a puncher, you should be able to stop Judah. He knocked out Morales pretty bad, but I think post-prime Morales gave his all in the Maidana, Garcia I, and Cano fights and just couldn't take it anymore.

This is something I've been wanting to say for a while now, I noticed it years ago. I finally got it off my chest. I think Khan's problem, despite getting knocked down a total of 10 times already, is his overconfidence, therefore he lets his chin out. But when he knows he's facing a puncher, a guy who can hurt him, he can actually survive him. Which is why I think he's been so persistent in wanting Matthysse. This year was not the first time he called out Matthysse, he's done it before. He sees something in Matthysse that he can expose, survive his power and win a close decision like he did with Maidana. I'd bet any one that Khan beats Matthysse in a decision, of course not without going through some scary moments and getting on wobbly legs.

Good analysis about being shaken buy guys with not great KO numbers

Its also true that Khan also has never been KO'd cold by one clean shot either

His legs tend to go out on him and betray him when he is caught

vs Garcia he was too brave and traded til stopped, vs Diaz he clinched and moved and survived showing either Diaz isnt as good a finisher as Garcia or that Khan learned something

I think Khans problem is he admires his work too much or he just pauses inside too much because he always seems to get tagged at the end of a combination while lingering around too long

or maybe its a lack of punch variation, if he throws the same combos eventually a guy survives gets past the speed and figures out how many and in what sequence they come, waits and fires

Khan has holes in his game that need fixing

Don't forget also, that Garcia was a replacement for Peterson. He was the underdog and he's never shown any type of crazy power at the top level. Khan was cutting his face up with his speed and bruising him up, then of course it's very like Amir Khan to do this, which is get careless and overconfident. He was feeling himself too much, he saw how much faster he was than Garcia. Then he got careless and never really recovered after he got caught the first time.

Anticipation is key in Khan's game. If he can anticipate a powerful puncher, he can most likely survive him and win a dec. I know that Khan genuinely wants Matthysse and he is not scared at all, he really does want Matthysse. Despite people saying GBP is scared and want to keep Khan away from Matthysse, that may be true, but I feel that Khan is licking his chops for a fight with Matthysse.

Meh Khan would slice him up and REALLY make him look his age...

Defintly a fight where Mosley would need to really setup and time a perfect counter HOOK. Don't know whether Mosley would be trying to fight like this though...

I don't think the right hand would do it for him and would be pretty hard to find... Won't happen though... Mosley should retire soon.

Alexander or Brook are the fights Khan should be looking at right now... then possibly try and get Mr.Duck Bradley to sign a fight...

I wouldn't say Mosley is shot but he is very over the hill. Floyd, Manny, and Saul's beating took a toll on Shane. His punch resistances is still good, and he just outhuscled a young fighter in cano for 12 rounds.

    Shane have a puncher's chance
