Starling by pretty handy decision. Whereas he'd usually use his tight defence his cut the distance without taking too much and then work his smart inside game, here, Mosley would accomodate him. Starling has the chin and defence to stop Shane doing the better work, and is the smarter all round fighter. Once he gets going, like in the Honeyghan fight, he'll make it fairly easy for himself. Shane would be game, but Magic Man would win a fairly comfortable decision IMO. It took a fighter like a peak 147lb Curry to find the opportunities and get much clean work done with Starling, and even then his effort was to score points; no point in trying to bang with Starling and take him out, he'll only make you look more ragged (big problem for Shane here, although Starlings herky jerky legs will provide him with less hassle than an all out mover, as Starling never used them to be evasive, it was all upper body with him). Mosley would get nullified. Different class of operator, and not stylistically favourable to Shane.
Shane would get taken to school and lose badly. He'd try to knock Starling out and get picked apart with his leaky defense.
Starling is too solid and naturally spry with savvy at 147 pounds.... Mosley is competitive over 12 rds, but loses on the cards 7 to 5 over 12 rds.... MR.BILL
