Holy crap! Good fight. That would be a tough one. Shane was a serious puncher at 135, so I don't know. I'd say a pick 'em.
I'd say Mosely with his speed power n combinations at that weight would prove too much for duran.. i actually think duran will quit when he realizes that Shane speed n combination punching would be too much
Duran wins easily. Mosley was a physical phenomenon at 135, but he has never been a great boxer. Duran was a physical phenomenon with superb boxing skills. Duran domination. Different level of fighter altogether.
Mosley really wasn't much, if at all, better at 135 than at 147. He was just facing lesser opposition at 135. He looked spectacular at 147 in 4 of his first 5 fights (Rivera being the exception). He looked better than ever in the first De La Hoya bout. He was sensational that night. He had a size advantage by being huge at 135, but also talked about being less comfortable physically there due to cutting so much weight.
If Mosley took the Meldrick Taylor blue print he could pull it off Edit: O **** my bad, I'm thinking of Julio Ceasar Chavez. Please don't roast me
Duran's faster than Chavez. Also, I don't think Mosley has the workrate or in-fighting of Taylor, which was key in him being ahead against Chavez. Mosley likes a little more distance and to load up on more shots.
No. Duran would make Mosley look ordinary, which he is, by comparison. Shane's size, speed, and sheer toughness keep him in the fight, but he takes a bad beating and struggles to pick up more than a round.
