Yeah I posted this in the other thread. I dont see Brown beating Mosley. Brown is being overated as a smart fighter, which he never was. He was a good solid technician with power, but he often fought into his opponents hands. I dont see Brown beating Mosley or Cotto.
Brown would have knocked the **** outta Cotto. Miguel is too hittable to beat a puncher like Brown, and is stamina wouldnt hold up very well.
Or Cotto could knock the **** out of Brown. He was very hittable too and cottos lefthook is no joke. (see pettway Brown for what a lefthook can do to Brown). If you don't think Cotto can hit harder than Pettway your nuts.
Beat me to hit. The Brown that lost to Pettaway was an absolute shell of the late 80's Brown. Cotto's never been a big puncher, and doesnt have the power to take out a prime Brown.
If your looking at his record it might appear that way but he was hot as **** at the time coming off the two fights with Norris. It was a shocker to see him get stretched like that. I don't remember him ever getting ko'd like that. Just my opinion but I think Cotto gives him a tough fight. Mosley too. And yes Mosley has the sturdier chin.
Styles make fights i can see Brown knocking out Cotto, but no matter how you look at it i cant see Brown beating a prime Mosley. Hes not outboxing Shane or knocking him out. Ill take Shane mid to late stoppage.
A prime Mosley just about went 10 even rounds with Wilfredo Rivera and got shelacked by Forrest. If Brown beats Mosley it wouldn't raise an eye brow of mine. That said, I'd make Mosley a slight favourite, very very slight.
