Cotto II is the best choice for him right now if he wants a big fight.

Alright but check this out: Let's say Mosley takes the fight against a Berto or a Clottey or a Kermit Cintron (a fight that was supposed to happen in 2006) and then for some reason or another, Mosley winds up dropping a decision or something insane happens and he suffers a TKO loss on cuts or something.

There goes EVERYTHING. Everything Mosley got (all that momentum) from beating Margo is pissed away in one fell swoop. Now whose gonna want a guy who just lost to a relative nobody in the division.

Mosley is in a lose/lose situation here...there's nothing he can really do. He can take a fight and risk losing all of his momentum or he can sit back and hope that somebody jumps on an offer to fight him before everything truly goes to waste. IT might seem lazy but I'll take the 2nd option.

    agreed...

i really cant see anyway that berto or cintron beat shane mosley.... maybe clottey but I doubt that also... clottey doesnt have enough strength to keep shane honest.... and shane can bang so

the only guy who offers any type of threat to shane is pw... i think he would get cotto clear now

Mosely has no momentum. He is assumed to have lucked out cuz Nazeem caught the bricks and Margo was nothing without them. Margo's win over Cotto is now 'suspicious' because no one beleives it was the 'first time'.

We've seen worse robberies before. Hell not only that, we've seen cuts come into play in TONS of fights. Hell MAB-Amir Khan comes to mind. What if there's a cut and the doctor rules Mosley unable to continue? Just one example of how things can go wrong basically.

Upsets happen all the time as do cuts.

That's disingenuous. He may not be riding the epic wave he was in Feb or March but I think he's got more momentum than any other WW not named Miguel Cotto right now.

Unless of course you consider Floyd a WW.

Please. Margo wasn't landing **** all night anyway and not having bricks in your gloves doesn't affect your ability to take a punch. Stop trying to discredit that win, you look ignorant.

I couldn't agree more. The fact of the matter is even after the impressive win over Margarito, Shane remains as an unattractive option for Pac and PBF because of the perception that he's not a big draw and that he represents a risk that out ways the potential reward.

Fine. Let "Little Winky" sit around and wait for Pac and Floyd if he wants. I really don't care. WW is supposedly the deepest in boxing and he can do a Floyd and retire for a while and let everybody fight everybody else and claim to be above it all.

This is a myth and has been one for a long time. WW probably has one of the strongest TOP 5's in all of boxing but once you get past Cotto-Mosley-Floyd (if you consider him a WW)-Berto and Clottey, what do we have? A whoooole lotta nothing really.

And this post reeks of some severe Mosley hate for some reason or another. This is a guy who never ducked anybody throughout his career. It strikes me like yer lashing out for some reason or another at a guy who rightfully wants his piece of the pie. If money is being thrown out at random for the WWs, I don't see any problem in a fading aging Shane Mosley simply waiting for something to come to him.

Well one guy is fighting at 147, the other is calling for a 135-er to take a trip up 8 or 9 lbs. I'd say we're comparing apples to oranges. The risk factor is extremely different.

should have fought zab on the floyd under card... and then called out floyd directly after and called him scared in front of everyone

im saying floyd could still get head butted and lose or some goofy ass outcome

    Oh because you wrote "assumed"?

"What has Shane done? Beat up a guy that is nothing without his bricks?"

    Look familiar?
