Didn't do badly... I mean, he tried to set up his power punches, succeded a couple of times. Fired up his weak jab... Maybe his conditioning left a bit to be desired but... he's 38 after all. And he has a tendancy of looking lethargic when things aren't going for him. And they just didn't today. Floyd saw those looping shots coming. Floyd showed today the great boxer he is. But... I'll be honest, Mosley looked a lot more hurt after the Cotto fight. But Floyd doesn't need the power. Legacy is scored in wins, not in knockouts. Appart from Pacquiao, he really would have to move up in weight to get remotely challenged. I still say PW beats him handidly. But anyway, you got to give it to Floyd. He proved it once again. And this time, he's on top, he fought a legit WW. Pacquiao will feel the pressure man, he has to challenge him, because as it stands, Floyd is PFP #1 without doubt. Clottey was a good opponent, but you go by the rankings. Shane was the man to beat at WW and he got beat.

He had his one ball in the cannon (the right hand in the 2nd) and once he fired it and didn't get the job done it was a rap from that point on. Floyd made the subtle adjustments to take away the right hand using angles to absolutely put Shane in knots.

I've been saying this forever, Shane never beats Floyd at any point his career. Why?

    1. He never had a jab worth a damn.
    2. He's far too dependent on loading up his power punches. (this is suicide against a boxer the calibre of Floyd).
    3. His defense is far too leaky.
    4. His footwork has always been mediocre.
