Answer me this, if Floyd wanted Mosley so bad back then, whats the problem with fighting him now?

 

It's funny, I think people are reading far too much into this. There's a reason that Mosley is calling out Floyd, Mosley needs the fight, Floyd doesn't. End of story. If I was Floyd I wouldn't fight Mosley right now either, there are other more attractive and possibly more dangerous fights out there. The Pac fight has to be number 1 on the agenda.

NO ONE here in their right mind would choose Mosley over Pac. The world has no idea of who Mosley is, Pac on the other hand, hell, even the wife knows he's some big famous amazing fighter. The money is with Pac fight, the fame is with the Pac fight and a legacy is with the Pac fight.

So once the Pac/Cotto fight is done with then Floyd can choose which one he wnats to fight. If he wins that fight then he can fight Mosley.

However if it were me there'd be no point at all in fighting Mosley, he's old, not a decent payday, not well recognised outside of the boxing world and simply not a worthwhile fight.

People here have to take off their rose tinted specs for a second and realise boxing is not, nor has it ever been about putting on fights that a few people on an internet forum want to see.

No doubt a Floyd/Mosley fight would be entertaining but that's far from a good reason for it to go ahead.

As an aside, I don't particularly care for either fighter, Floyd, as technically brilliant as he is bored me to sleep everytime I see him fight and Mosley is average.

If you ask me we should forget about Mosley and PBF and just watch Katsidis fight every week.

 

So according to you PBF does not need to fight the ATG and Ring Champ at welterweight Shane Mosley. Really, this is clearly nonsense . And keep in mind that if PBF wants to fight Mosley a couple years later, his victory would be less credible.

When will the PBF fans stop looking for lame excuses.

 

I want this fight to happen but theres a part of me that wants Mosley to tell Floyd to screw off just so Mosley won't give him the payday.

Why should he bend over backwards to accomidated a fighter who has missed his chance when there are bigger paydays out there? Mosley needs to get in line

 

First Mosley is much bigger treat due the size alone, not mention he is great boxer as well.
Second Mosley is not a random WW belt holder, he has strong ATG status himself.
Third PAC-Cotto was not done yet and its a good chance PAC will not win this.
Fourth, PAC-Cotto winner is still undecided, while Mosley is available right now,
so nothing will prevent FLoyd for fighting the PAC-Cotto winner next year
while he fights Mosley this year.

he wanted him then because he was trying to beat the best. I remember back in 04-05 he said he wanted Gatti first, then Tszyu, then Mosley. He beat Gatti, Tszyu lost to Ricky Hatton and bowed out, and Mosley went on vacation to by some HGH to help rehab his friggin toothache.:good
