Shane Mosley's Reaction after Winning the 2nd De La Hoya fight

He did get a gift....and I was routing for Shane.

 

I agree he got a gift....but it wasn't even Christmas yet....

 

He said later he was suprised. He was suprised because it was a close fight and he figured they'd give it to DLH based on popularity.

 

I still think DLH won the fight, but I like Shane, so it didnt bother me much. Before it was announced he didnt look confident though, quite the opposite.

 

i remember his dad telling him in the final round that he needed a knockout to win....

 

It doesn't matter - Shane was on illegal drugs that night!

 

Shane did comment on being surprised with the decision. He didn't think he could get a second decision against Oscar.
I did believe Oscar did enough to win, but it was a close fight so I'm not complaining.

 

Oscar won atleast 8 rounds. Plain Robbery. ODLH had alot of enemies at that time. His up an coming Promotion Company was the cause of many promoters hating on him.

Jack Mosley told Shane he needed to KO ODLH to win.

Shane Mosley was in SHOCK when he was announced NEW champion.

Polls immediately after the fight and for months ater and now years to come had always had ODLH as the winner between 80-90% of those who voted.

 

And 80% of those at ringside felt Mosley won.
