How many natural lightweights went on to become linear welterweight and light middleweight champs. Guys like ortiz, gans, williams etc, they stayed at lightweight thier whole career and fought alot of blown up featherweights. Im sure if mosley stayed at lightweight, he would have beaten nazarov, stevei johnston and the featherweights of his era.

mosley to me is a fighter who would have gone down very close if not the greatest 135 fighter of all time.

i do not agree with moving up when there is no need.

the three weight belt champions in an age of 5 sometimes 6 world champs per division devealues this acheivement.

mosley could and should have remained at lightweight longer.

mosley was not linear at welterweight. Linear was restablished when Mayorga-Forrest rematched b/c the #1 and #2 fighters fought.

    It went:
    McGirt
    Whitaker
    DLH
    Trinidad
    ***
    Mayorga
    Spinks
    Judah
    Baldomir
    Mayweather

cyberzone boxing has him as linear, either way he was still #1 p4p. Ortiz, ike williams get labelled as better fighter, but the truth is they fought smaller fighters. Can you honeslty see molsey losing to featherweights like flash elorde and sugar ramos, i mean thats 2 of ortiz's best wins.

Ike quartey and tito moved up, whitaker was gone. So yeah oscar and shane had to be the two top guys.
